Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of purewaterfinder.com and related services (the "Service") operated by PureWaterFinder ("PureWaterFinder," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Who can use the Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

Your account

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Notify us at hello@purewaterfinder.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

User-generated content

You can submit reviews, refill confirmations, photos, edits, closed reports, and other content ("User Content"). You are responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the rights to submit it and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.

By posting User Content, you grant PureWaterFinder a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting), publish, display, and distribute that User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content.

Do not submit User Content that is:

  • False, misleading, defamatory, harassing, or discriminatory.
  • Infringing on any copyright, trademark, or other right.
  • Private information about another person without consent.
  • Spam, promotional content, or an attempt to manipulate rankings.
  • Unlawful, threatening, or intended to cause harm.

We may remove or refuse User Content at our discretion and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Reviews and refill confirmations

Reviews should reflect your genuine, first-hand experience. Do not post reviews of businesses you own or are affiliated with, and do not post negative reviews of competitors. Refill confirmations should reflect a refill you actually completed at that location.

Business owners and claimed listings

If you claim a listing, you represent that you are authorized to manage that business. Claimed listings do not entitle you to remove honest reviews or refill confirmations. We may verify claims through public records, email domain match, phone confirmation, or other reasonable means.

Listing accuracy and safety disclaimer

PureWaterFinder is a directory. We do not own, operate, test, or certify the water sources listed. Listing information — including water type, filtration method, price, hours, and access — is provided for informational purposes only, may be inaccurate or out of date, and does not constitute a recommendation, endorsement, or guarantee of safety, potability, or quality.

You are responsible for verifying that any water source is safe and appropriate for your use. Spring water and untested sources may contain contaminants. Consult local health authorities when in doubt. PureWaterFinder is not liable for illness, injury, or loss arising from water consumed from any listed source.

Affiliate links and advertising

The Service may display advertising, sponsored placements, and affiliate links. We participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and may earn a commission from qualifying purchases. See our Privacy Policy for more. Advertising placements labeled "Sponsored" reflect a paid arrangement.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, text (other than User Content), and trademarks, is owned by PureWaterFinder and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, scrape, or create derivative works from the Service or its data without prior written permission, except that you may make personal, non-commercial use of the site through a standard web browser.

Prohibited use

You may not:

  • Use automated means to access the Service except for standard search-engine crawlers respecting robots.txt.
  • Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass security or access controls.
  • Use the Service to violate any law or third-party right.

Third-party services and links

The Service links to third-party websites and businesses. We are not responsible for the content, policies, products, or practices of third parties.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from your settings. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE OR ANY LISTING IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, RELIABLE, SAFE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PUREWATERFINDER AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PureWaterFinder from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute must be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Douglas County, Colorado, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
